Law Works is pleased to welcome a new articling student to the firm.

Evan Ivkovic

Evan graduated with a J.D. degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, joining the firm in February.

Before law school, Evan studied Philosophy, obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto and a Master of Arts at York University. During his law school summers, Evan worked in the derivatives and compliance departments at State Street, a financial services firm. He was also a Research Assistant for Professor Poonam Puri from Osgoode Hall, who is the former Associate Dean of Osgoode and current Co-Director of the Hennick Centre for Business and Law.

In addition to his studies, Evan was a caseworker in the administrative law division of Osgoode Hall’s Community Legal Aid Services Programme and was also a staff writer and managing editor for Osgoode Hall’s school newspaper, the Obiter Dicta. He also volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada and participated in oral advocacy competitions.

Evan enjoys fantasy baseball, backpacking and reading about emergent technologies.
