We are pleased to announce that the Globe and Mail sought our firm’s expert opinion about the intensifying fight in the Tim Horton’s franchise. In a high profile article today, "Tim Horton’s parent taking legal action against group of franchisees", the Globe quoted Ben’s opinion about the unusual and aggressive nature against the franchisee association, which could be potentially interpreted as a veiled move to illegally shut it down. We are pleased to announce that Rann Wang has joined Law Works P.C. as an articling student. Rann obtained his J.D. from Tulane University Law School in the U.S., and LL.M from Osgoode Hall Law School. Before his law studies, he graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a specialization in finance and a major in criminology, and worked as an independent mortgage broker for a subsidiary of CIBC. While in law school, Rann worked as a student attorney in the Tulane Law School’s civil litigation clinic.
