Mandatory Requirements
- Experience: Must have 2-5 years of post-call experience focused on Commercial Litigation, gained within a Canadian jurisdiction.
- License: Must be a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario (LSO) or another Canadian Provincial Law Society. Applications from non-Canadian jurisdictions or those without Canadian litigation experience will not be considered.
- Skills: Demonstrated superior ability in critical analysis and persuasive legal writing.
- Fit: Eagerness to develop deep expertise in franchise and commercial litigation and arbitration (prior franchise experience is not required).
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting complex court materials, including pleadings, affidavits, motion materials and written arguments (factums).
- Contributing to high-level case strategy and development.
- Managing document discovery and e-discovery processes.
