Law Works is a respected small boutique law firm specializing in franchise law, franchise disputes, and commercial disputes.
The law firm was founded by our firm’s principal, Ben Hanuka, and began operating in Calgary in 2024. Our affiliate offices have been operating in Ontario since 2012 and in Vancouver since 2017.
Our Foundation in Alberta
Law Works and its principal, Ben Hanuka, are members of the Law Society of Alberta. Ben Hanuka is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association – Alberta Branch.
Our Calgary satellite office is located in downtown Calgary. We have represented clients in Calgary and Edmonton in franchise and commercial disputes.
Ben has been an active volunteer with other branches of the Canadian Bar Association where he has shared his expertise on franchise litigation by moderating professional development programs and participating in expert panels in continuing education programs for lawyers.
We also operate Law Works Professional Development to provide lawyers in Alberta and across Canada with accredited short and intensive training courses on franchise law, franchise litigation and commercial litigation. Our webinars and courses for lawyers in Alberta can be included in the CPD plans of members of the Law Society of Alberta on franchise and commercial disputes.
