The Lawyer’s Daily published a three-part series of articles written by Ben Hanuka, with the assistance of Anthony Pugh, associate at Law Works, titled “Franchise law: three important appeal decisions”.

In the articles, published in August 2022, Ben analyzed a trio of franchise rescission decisions by the Court of Appeal for Ontario released between October 2021 and June 2022.   All three decisions upheld rescissions granted by the Superior Court of Justice under section 6(2) of Ontario’s franchise legislation, the Arthur Wishart Act (Franchise Disclosure), 2000, and further developed key legal rights and obligations about rescission ground and personal liability.
