Law Works is a respected small boutique law firm specializing in commercial and franchise disputes. Our law firm was founded by the firm’s principal, Ben Hanuka, and has operated in Toronto since 2012 before expanding to a multi-province practice with satellite offices in Calgary and Vancouver.
We also operated Law Works Professional Development to provide lawyers in Ontario and across Canada with accredited short and intensive training courses.
Our Foundation in Toronto
The professional career of our firm’s principal, Ben Hanuka, was focused in Toronto. Ben attained both his JD and LLM (1996 and 2015) degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1998. Before founding Law Works, Ben led franchise law and franchise litigation practices in a mid size law firm and most of his court appearances have been in the Greater Toronto Area over the past twenty-five years. These include many leading court decisions.
Ben is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Ontario Bar Association. He has been an active volunteer with the Ontario Bar Association where he has in past years led committees, presented at member events and led continuing education programs for Ontario lawyers. Ben is also a former member of the Cambridge Club in Toronto.
