Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District, 2021 SCC 7 (Supreme Court of Canada) The majority of the Supreme Court of Canada held that the duty of good faith included an obligation to exercise discretion under a contract. The plaintiff, Wastech, had a contract with the Defendant, the Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District, for waste disposal.  Under the contract, Wastech was to remove and transport waste to two landfills and one waste-to-energy plant.
