Law Works is a respected small boutique law firm specializing in franchise law, franchise disputes, and commercial disputes.
The law firm was founded by our firm’s principal, Ben Hanuka, and has operated in Vancouver since 2017. Our affiliate offices have been operating in Ontario since 2012 and in Calgary as of 2014.
We also operate Law Works Professional Development to provide lawyers in Vancouver and across Canada with accredited short and intensive training courses accredited for professional development (CPD) hours for lawyers by the Law Society of British Columbia on key areas of franchise law and commercial disputes.

Law Works and our principal, Ben Hanuka, are members of the Law Society of British Columbia. Ben is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association – B.C. Branch.
Our Vancouver satellite office is located in the West Broadway area of Vancouver. We have represented clients in Vancouver, Metro Vancouver, Vancouver Island and Kelowna in commercial and franchise disputes.
Ben has been an active volunteer with the Canadian Bar Association – B.C. Branch and the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia.
He has shared his expertise by moderating professional development programs and participating in expert panels in continuing education programs for lawyers. Ben has also presented at the Canadian Franchise Association’s Franchise Tradeshow in Vancouver about franchise legal issues.
In addition to Ben’s volunteer work in the legal community of British Columbia, we deliver through Law Works Professional Development CPD-eligible webinars and courses for lawyers in British Columbia that are accredited by the Law Society of British Columbia on commercial and franchise disputes.
